Course Overview
Derivatives introduces students to financial instruments whose value is derived from underlying assets such as stocks, bonds, commodities, or interest rates. The course covers forwards, futures, options, and swaps, along with their pricing, strategies, and applications in hedging and speculation. Emphasis is placed on understanding both the theoretical foundations and the practical uses of derivatives in financial markets and risk management.
